Originally from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Matthew Young is a versatile musician new to the west coast. A graduate of Oberlin College and Conservatory’s Double Degree program, Matthew holds both a BM in Piano Performance under professor Alvin Chow and a BA in Creative Writing. Having trained as a dance accompanist at Hyde Park School of Dance in Chicago, Matthew accompanies ballet classes at City of Angeles Ballet and Westside Ballet in Santa Monica. Matthew is also a passionate educator on faculty at Opus School of Music in Hacienda Heights, where he teaches beginning and early intermediate piano. When not at the keyboard, Matthew writes, produces, and performs electronic pop in his duo TWINKIDS, whose debut EP is due out early next year.
